Please read the following terms and conditions carefully, as they form the basis of your adoption agreement.
One Paw will pass on all known information about the dog, at the time of the adoption. This information is passed on in good faith, and wherever possible is based, on statements made by its previous foster/adopter. There is however no guarantee to its reliability. All One Paw dogs offered for adoption are done so on the understanding that we will pass on all known information about the dog, at the time of the adoption.
We cannot guarantee the suitability in bonding with other animals or children, away from the foster homes, we would advise you to be aware that there may be behavioural problems and that you contact us if you are concerned so we can put you in touch with one of our behaviourists, if we notice any behaviour problems while in foster, before being adopted, we will discuss with the adopter beforehand, and work with them the best we can, but accepting the information beforehand One Paw cannot be held responsible.
Please note you are adopting a rescue animal that we may have very little background on so we cannot give you any guarantees on any future health issues for temperament/behavioural problems.
One Paw strongly advise all adopters to arrange insurance for their new pet, therefore you should ring and activate your free insurance with petplan.
We would ask you to contact us if your circumstances change and you need to rehome your dog. As part of the agreement to adopting a One Paw dog, you agree to return the dog to our rescue. If we don’t have foster space, we will find space as soon as possible.
You must agree not give the dog to anyone else, or sell the dog.
We would advise that if you have any problems at all, please telephone us or join our Facebook advice page for adopters.
All our dogs are neutered age permitted, if they are not due to age (neutering contract will be agreed) then you agree they are not be used for breeding.
All our puppies under 12 months are sent to adopters not neutered but are to be done at 12 months of age under our contract terms.
Microchip details: adopters will be primary contact and our rescue will be secondary contact, this will always need to stay on the chip details.
All our adoption donations are used for helping other dogs and will go back into helping towards vet fees and treatments, all adoption donations are non refundable.
Do not walk your dog for at least the first 48 hours after bringing them home. DOUBLE LEADS ARE RECOMMENDED ATTACHED TO BOTH THE COLLAR AND THE HARNESS when first taking dogs outside the property
YOU SHOULD ALWAYS USE A HARNESS FOR WALKING YOUR DOG. DOGS CAN EASILY SLIP OFF A COLLAR SO HARNESSES SHOULD BE USED IN ADDITION TO A COLLAR AT ALL TIMES.
