🐾 Meet Bailey 🐾

Location: West Yorkshire, must be willing to travel to meet him in foster care.

From: China Meat Trade
Bailey is approximately 3 years old. He’s a gentle, sweet-natured boy who has made incredible progress since arriving in foster care. Initially a little timid, he has blossomed into a loving, playful companion who just needs a patient home to continue building his confidence.

🏡 Foster Home Life
Bailey currently lives with a cat, two female dogs, and two male dogs. He has settled beautifully into this mixed household and enjoys being part of a pack.

💛 Personality & Progress
Bailey has truly blossomed in foster. He is now a loving, affectionate dog who enjoys cuddles, playtime, and relaxing close to his human. His fear of strangers has improved significantly, and he’s even starting to accept gentle kisses on the head.

🐕 Social Skills
• With Dogs: Fantastic! Bailey loves other dogs, happily plays, and integrates well into a pack.
• With Cats: No issues at all—he lives peacefully with a cat.
• With People: Initially cautious with new people but warms up quickly.
• With Children: Best suited to homes with children aged 12+, as he can be nervous around fast movements or close face contact.

🌍 Outside & Walks
Bailey enjoys his walks and loves exploring. He is non-reactive to people and other dogs, though he can feel nervous around loud noises and busy roads. With gradual exposure, his confidence will continue to grow.

🍽️ Feeding & Routine
• Fed twice daily (9am and 5pm)
• Eats alongside other dogs with no aggression or food guarding
• Loves his food but respects boundaries with supervision

🧸 Play & Enrichment
Bailey absolutely loves toys—especially ones he can chew for long periods. He is not possessive and responds well to other dogs’ boundaries. Gentle nibbling during play may occur, but this is affectionate and not aggressive.

💤 Sleeping & Alone Time
• Sleeps happily in the kitchen with other dogs
• Enjoys evening cuddles before bedtime
• Can be left for up to 3 hours and settles well with other dogs
• Benefits from toys/chews for comfort when alone

Handling & Care
• Comfortable with wearing harness and collar
• Enjoys being brushed and handled

🚗 Travel
Travels calmly in the car (has managed journeys of up to an hour with no issues).

🩺 Health
• Vet-checked with no concerns (UK Check)
• Bailey is microchipped, vaccinated, neutered, and has had all necessary health checks.

🚨 Behaviour Notes
• No signs of aggression at all
• May briefly cower if startled or approached too quickly
• Nervousness is improving steadily with time and reassurance

🏠 Ideal Home
Bailey would thrive in a calm, patient home where he can continue to build confidence.
• Would especially enjoy a home with other friendly dogs
• Could live as an only dog if someone is home most of the time
• Best suited to older children (12+)
• Needs adopters who understand he may be shy at first but will reward them with love and loyalty

💬 Final Thoughts
Bailey is a beautiful soul who just needed a chance to feel safe. In a short time, he has transformed into a loving, playful companion. With continued patience and kindness, he will make an incredibly devoted addition to the right family.
