Adopt a One Paw

Re-homing a One Paw

On this page you’ll find all of the One Paw dogs that we currently have wanting to be adopted into their forever home. If you’ve found your new best friend, make sure you go to the interest form to register your interest, if you’ve got any questions please do visit the contact us page and we’ll get in touch as soon as we’re able. Our dogs have, and are up to date with: vaccinations, microchips, flea treatment, wormers, neutering (where old enough), and all come with their pet passport. Unfortunately they cannot go to homes with dogs that have not been neutered and homes with children under 7.

"We couldn't be happier that we adopted Chance! His character and funny ways brighten every room he enters. He's fit into our family from day one! Thank you One Paw! - The Oakes family, Nottingham.

Tara
8 months
Female

A lovely girl she’s only medium size, Lurcher size. She’s around 8 months of age, good with people and other dogs.
She’s a typically puppy bouncy, fun, does sometimes chew so will need lots of toys to keep her busy, house training she’s doing well, but does have the odd accident. Another dog in the home would be a help for her but homes without is no problem at all.

Ollie
Male
Small size

Ollie has been rescued from the meat trade in China. Sadly he had sustained an injury possibly from the slaughter house, so his eye needed to be taken out. (This is a older photo.)

He is small in size and needs a calm home preferably with another dog. He won’t be travelling just yet.

Please note that due to the costs of transport the adoption donation for China dogs is £400.

Benji
Male
4 months old

This is Benji. He was saved from a Romanian kill shelter, he is around 4 months of age. He's had a bad start to life and as a result his legs are a little bowed, this is from the poor quality food he has had since birth. We don't know if this is something that will improve with better food. He will need to be neutered when he is old enough, One Paw will cover this cost using our vets.

Stella
Female
8 months old

Stella is a German Shepherd currently in China. She was saved from the meat trade and she’s around 8 months of age. When Shaun met her she was in a kennel with lot of other dogs, at the safe shelter! She was hiding at the back and every time she tried to get food the other dogs would growl or snap at her, so after seeing this Shaun took her out and gave her a huge bowl of food all to her self and they had lots of cuddles! She’s good with dogs and people. We need a special home for her before Shaun adopts her!

Anna
Female
2 years old

Anna was rescued from a china meat trade truck, that was stopped by activists. Had she not, she would have ended up on someones dinner table.
She’s a lovely girl and has been in China a few months getting ready to fly, we have now been told she can possibly travel in February, with a flight volunteer.

She’s good with dogs but can be shy with men sometimes, this is expected and normal after what she has been through. She needs time and patience and potentially someone with another dog to show poor Anna the ropes.

Age: 4 months
Neutered/Castrated: no as I’m too young, 6 months plus as part of the adoption contract.
Good with dogs: yes loves to play.
Good with cats: we are not sure, he is a puppy so will learn to get along with them.
Will I need Training/puppy classes: we always ask this as part of the adoption contract.
Area being Fostered: Nottingham.

Some information about me:
I came from Romania a few days ago and I’ve settled in really well to my foster home! My foster mum said I’ve not messed in the home since arriving and I just love to play, I would like to be in a home with another dog, and someone who isn’t at work all day and does understand I am a puppy who will sometimes, chew, play nip and just be a hyper pup!

Some information about me:
I came from Romania a few days ago and I’ve settled in really well to my foster home! My foster dad's said I’ve not messed in the home since arriving and I just love to sleep I would like to be in a home with another dog, and someone who isn’t at work all day and does understand I need time and patience, I’m also wary of men, but as I’m in foster with two men, I hope I can learn to trust men in time.

* D.Y.L.A.N * (aka Stumpy)

Our superstar pooch who arrived from Romania just a week ago as a total nervous wreck is now nearly ready to start the search for his prospective new Mummy and Daddy and his Furever home.

I suspect Dylan is a Corgi cross donning those adorable Queen Ann turney out front legs. He is short and stumpy with a full frame and a long body.

Dylan is and has been clean in the house at all times. He now walks fabulously on the lead and once you have gained his trust is one of the most loving and adorable pooches I have ever met.

He is just a year old and having spent his entire life in kennels in Romania, he just needs a chance in life.

He is not reactive to other dogs (we have 3!) and good with children although a quiet approach is necessary due to Dylan's current lack of self confidence.

Kiri

Kiri is being fostered in Sheffield, and hasn’t had much luck finding a forever home, she needs someone with time and patience as she can still be shy and scared. She's doing well and is good with other dogs.

Chloe

She’s a beautiful small girl, around 3 years estimated. Chloe is good with dogs and people, but she can be a little wary of larger dogs.

Peanut
