🐾 Meet Roxi – A Loving, Playful Girl Looking for Her Forever Home 🐾
Location: Nottinghamshire
From: Romania
Date of Birth: 05-03-24
Roxi is a beautiful, affectionate girl of around 2 years and 7 months who is making wonderful progress in foster care and is now ready to find her forever family.
When Roxi first arrived in foster care, she was a little nervous and unsure of the world around her. However, with patience, reassurance and plenty of positive experiences, her confidence has blossomed. She is a real people pleaser who loves attention, seeks out affection and is always happy to offer a few kisses!
💕 A Loving and Affectionate Companion
Roxi is a very affectionate girl who loves being around people. She enjoys attention and is keen to make friends, although she can still be a little shy in unfamiliar situations. She has made fantastic progress with socialisation, and it’s lovely to see her growing in confidence as she meets new people.
She has enjoyed visits to local cafés and even a trip to the pet shop, where she happily soaked up attention from customers and staff. These little adventures have helped her discover that the world can be a wonderful place!
🐶 A Friend to Other Dogs
Roxi gets along well with other dogs and particularly enjoys playing with her canine friends. She loves a good game of chase and has a playful nature, especially when she is with dogs who enjoy the same sort of fun.
She would benefit from and thrive in a home with a friendly, compatible resident dog to help her continue building confidence and provide her with a companion.
Roxi is currently living happily alongside several other dogs and sleeps peacefully in her crate with them nearby.
🌳 Walks, Adventures and Playtime
Roxi loves her walks and gets excited as soon as her harness and lead appear! She walks well on her harness and enjoys opportunities to play with other dogs in safe, secure areas.
She is generally comfortable around traffic and has even been walked near a railway line with trains passing. Although she can occasionally bark at unfamiliar people, particularly when she first meets them, this has improved considerably as her confidence has grown.
Roxi would love a family who can continue helping her explore the world at her own pace, using positive experiences and gentle encouragement to help her flourish.
🏡 Life at Home
Roxi is fully house-trained and travels well in the car, happily jumping in and out by herself. She is comfortable resting in a crate, which she uses for quiet time after exercise and for sleeping at night.
She enjoys being brushed and receiving attention, and she has shown that she can settle when left with other dogs. Her foster carer has had no problems leaving her at home, although her experience of being left as an only dog has been less successful in a previous foster home.
Roxi is fed separately from other dogs in her crate.
👨👩👧 The Ideal Home for Roxi
Roxi is looking for a loving, patient home where she can continue to grow in confidence and enjoy all the good things life has to offer.
We feel she would be best suited to:
• A home with a friendly, compatible resident dog who could become her companion.
• A family willing to continue her socialisation, helping her build confidence around unfamiliar people.
• A home with dog-savvy children aged 11 and over, as she has not yet lived with children.
• People who will give her reassurance and encouragement while allowing her time to settle into new situations.
Roxi has not yet been tested with cats, so any introductions to resident cats would need careful consideration.
🩺Health
Roxi is microchipped, vaccinated, neutered and has had all necessary health checks including a negative Brucella Canis test (UK APHA Lab) and 4DX snap test.
🌟 Roxi’s Journey So Far
One of the loveliest things about Roxi is how far she has come. Her foster mum has seen a real improvement in her confidence, both when meeting people and when encountering other dogs on walks.
She has gone from being a nervous girl who could bark at unfamiliar people to a much more confident dog who is beginning to enjoy new experiences. She still has a little way to go, but with continued patience, understanding and positive socialisation, there is every reason to be excited about her future.
❤️ Could Roxi Be Your Perfect Match?
Roxi is an affectionate, playful and loving girl who has so much to offer. She enjoys the company of other dogs, loves attention and is learning more about the world every day.
She doesn’t need someone to change who she is; she needs someone to see the wonderful dog she is becoming and help her continue to shine.
If you have a friendly resident dog, a loving home and the patience to help Roxi continue her journey, she could be the perfect addition to your family.
Could you be the person who gives this lovely girl the happy ending she deserves? 🐾❤️
