We try and be fair regarding our adoption donations, sadly the costs can be high to adopt but i think our dogs have a lot more tests and include neutering which if you brought a dog from a breeder none of this would be included.
Please see our adoption donations on the opposite page.
Thank you.
Why Adopt? Adopting a dog instead of buying one from a breeder is one of the most impactful choices an animal lover can make. Every year, millions of dogs enter shelters through no fault of their own—whether because their owners couldn’t care for them, they were abandoned, or they were found as strays. Sadly, many of these dogs never find homes and face euthanasia due to overcrowding. When you adopt, you’re not just gaining a loyal companion—you’re literally saving a life.
On the other hand, buying from breeders often fuels demand for producing more puppies, even while shelters remain overrun. While not all breeders are irresponsible, the breeding industry as a whole contributes to overpopulation and can sometimes prioritize profit over the well-being of animals. In contrast, adoption helps reduce strain on shelters, gives an animal a second chance, and allows resources to be redirected toward rescuing more pets in need.
Adopted dogs are just as loving, trainable, and unique as those from breeders. In fact, many have already been house-trained and socialized, making them easier to integrate into a family. And the bond you form with a rescue dog is unmatched—there’s a special kind of gratitude in the eyes of a pet who knows you’ve given them a second chance.

Why are your dogs more expensive for the dogs from China and Egypt?
The cost for rescuing dogs from the China Meat Trade varies, but they are more expensive than Rescuing from other countries, due to the cost of flights involved can be up to £1000+ depending on the size of the dog). The additional cost is therefore reflected in the adoption donation of £650 for dogs rescued from China.
How much does it cost to bring a dog over from Romania?
Romanian dogs travel to the UK by road, and the cost is around £250-£280 per dog. It also costs us £60 per month to keep each dog safe and fed whilst waiting to travel to a UK foster home.
Prep fees including vaccinations and other tests required is around 210-250 euros per dog, which includes Vaccinations, health tests, Brucella tests and neutering if the dog is old enough.
Egypt dogs costs
Egypt dogs: costs to cover flights, paperwork, vaccination s and neutering are around £1000 per dog, and this is reflected in the higher adoption fee of £650 for dogs rescued from Egypt.
We hope this doesnt put you off. Please compare our costs to a breeders costs and hopefully you will realise that adoption is the best option.

Dogs currently looking for foster homes
We have rescue dogs currently in Romania (or sometimes in China or the UK) who are looking for foster homes in the UK, awaiting their chance to start their journey to a new life.
Could you sponsor a One Paw rescue dog?
You may not be able to adopt or foster a dog right now but there’s another way you could help.
For as little as £5 per month you can help one of our One Paw babies stay safe, warm and fed until they are able to find their forever home.
When you become a sponsor you will receive regular updates about your sponsor dog(s).
