🌸 Meet Pixie 🌸
Approx. Age: 2–3 years
Status: In foster
Personality: Sweet, gentle, and quietly playful
Pixie is a little lady who has come on beautifully since arriving into foster. When she first arrived, she was quite shy and preferred to keep to herself, but by day three she was confidently coming out of her bed to say hello and politely sniff the resident dogs. Since then, her confidence has continued to grow every day.
🐢 Dog & Home Life
Pixie currently lives with:
A foster mum
Two children (aged around 7–10)
Three resident dogs (one of whom arrived with her)
She is good with dogs of all ages and enjoys being around them. Pixie likes to join in with play but is also very good at communicating her boundaries β€” if play gets a bit much, she will give a small growl to say β€œthat’s enough,” and happily relax again once space is given.
She especially enjoys the company of her foster sister, following her around the house and even copying her toilet routine. Pixie could live as an only dog or with a calm, friendly companion β€” she does enjoy having another dog for confidence.
πŸ‘¨β€πŸ‘©β€πŸ‘§β€πŸ‘¦ People & Handling
Pixie is fantastic with people and absolutely adores visitors, including children as young as two years old. She loves cuddles and will gently tap you with her paw when she wants more affection β€” a very sweet trait!
She is calm for:
Baths πŸ›
Face trims βœ‚οΈ
Harness and lead being put on
πŸšΆβ€β™€οΈ Exercise & Health
Due to an issue with her back leg, Pixie enjoys short, gentle walks, which suit her perfectly. She walks well on a harness and lead and is happy with a relaxed lifestyle.
🏠 Home Training & Routine
Partly house trained β€” she has had a couple of accidents but is let out every 2 hours and is learning quickly by following her foster sister
Sleeps through the night 9pm–7am in the kitchen with her foster sister, with no crying at all
Has been left alone for up to 2 hours and settled well
Pixie hasn’t shown much interest in toys yet, but she does enjoy the occasional chase with the resident dogs.
πŸ’• Personality Summary
Since settling in, Pixie has become:
Snuggly
Happy
Playful
Affectionate
She would make a wonderful lap dog and companion for someone looking for a loving, gentle soul.
🏑 Ideal Home
Pixie could be rehomed:
As an only dog or with a calm canine companion
