💖 About Dinky
Dinky is a sweet, affectionate little soul who absolutely adores human attention. She’s happiest curled up on your lap, snuggled beside you on the sofa, or soaking up fuss from anyone willing to give her a cuddle. Belly rubs are a firm favourite!
She’s an easy-going, gentle girl who settles well into home life and enjoys a calm, loving environment where she can feel safe and cherished.
🦴 Dinky’s Mobility & Care
Dinky has a leg disability, which means she can’t walk long distances. Because of this, she doesn’t go out on traditional walks and will need to be carried or transported in a doggy backpack when out and about.
She wears a harness and lead happily but can struggle with walking due to her leg getting in the way. This doesn’t slow her down in spirit — she’s perfectly content enjoying home comforts and close companionship.
🏡 Home Life & Routine
- Sleeps through the night in a dog bed from 11pm–7pm
- Settles well after a short protest bark when she wants her food.
- Calm and relaxed indoors with a cheeky character.
- Fine being left for short periods (up to 4 hours) — barks briefly, then settles
- Travels well in the car and lies down quietly
🐶 Social Skills
- Dogs: Lives with multiple dogs and generally coexists well.
- She prefers her personal space and may grumble if another dog gets too close to her bed or food, so separate feeding is recommended
- People: Very friendly with familiar and new people — loves being fussed
- Children: Best suited to a home with older children (10+)
- Cats: Has met a resident cat, no aggression shown.
- Best with another dog for company.
🧼 Handling & Grooming
- Happy being bathed and groomed
- Comfortable wearing a harness and lead
- No issues being handled
🍽 Feeding & Training
- Eats well but does show some food guarding, which is easily managed by feeding separately
- Mostly house-trained but may have occasional accidents, particularly after drinking water
- Confident and settled overall
⭐ Final Thoughts from Her Foster Carer
“Dinky is an easy, affectionate dog who loves attention and settles quickly. Her full character may still be developing, but she’s already shown herself to be a lovely little companion.”
🏠 Dinky’s Ideal Home

- A calm, loving home
- A household that understands her mobility needs, she may have an operation at a later date.
- A home with another dog for company.
She may be small, but Dinky has a huge heart and so much love to give 💕
