🐾 Meet Bonnie 🐾
Location: Nottingham
Age: 4 years
From: UK Surrender, Bonnie is a beautiful Standard Wire Haired Dachshund with the sweetest nature and so much love to give. From the moment she arrived in foster care, she settled in immediately and showed just how affectionate she is. She adores being close to her people and has a wonderful way of making everyone she meets fall in love with her.
Bonnie would thrive in a home with another friendly young dog of a similar size and temperament for companionship and to play with. She would also best be suited to a home where someone is around for much of the day.
Although she can be a little shy when meeting someone new, it only takes a minute or two before her confidence shines through. Once she’s decided you’re a friend, you’ll have a loyal little shadow who loves cuddles, companionship and being involved in whatever you’re doing.
One of Bonnie’s favourite things in the world is meeting other dogs. Big or small, young or old, she wants to say hello to them all! She’s still learning that she can’t greet every dog she sees on a walk, so she’s continuing to improve her lead manners. With gentle guidance and consistency, she’s making great progress.
Bonnie is very food-motivated and will do just about anything for a tasty treat.
She is a calm and easy dog to have around the home. She sleeps soundly through the night, enjoys being brushed and groomed, and is perfectly happy having her harness put on because she knows it means an adventure is coming.
Bonnie is fully house trained but may need a little reminder in a new home.
She has travelled well in both the car and on public transport after some initial nerves and now enjoys watching the world go by. She has shown no aggression towards people or dogs and is a gentle, affectionate companion.
Bonnie has not lived with cats and becomes very excited when she sees them outdoors, so we feel a cat free home would be best.
She could live with kind, sensible dog savvy children aged 7 and over who will respect her space.
Bonnie is looking for a family who will continue building her confidence and give her the love and companionship she thrives on. In return, she’ll reward you with endless affection, a wagging tail and a loyal friend who simply wants to be by your side.
If you’re looking for a sweet, loving little companion with a heart full of love, Bonnie could be the perfect addition to your family.
Bonnie will be fully vaccinated and microchipped and will need to be spayed as part of her adoption contract.
