🐾 Meet Lottie 🐾

💕 Around 18 months old | 🐶 Poodle | 📍 Fostered in Nottingham

Say hello to the gorgeous Lottie! 🩷

Lottie is a sweet, playful young Poodle who has come to us from China, where she was rescued from the meat trade. She’s now learning all about the good life and is looking for a very special foster-to-adopt home where she can continue to grow in confidence and be thoroughly spoiled!

🐾 A little bit about Lottie

Lottie is a lovely girl with a big personality packed into a little body! She absolutely loves playing with a ball and enjoys her walks. She is good on walks, although she does have some limitations when it comes to distance.

Lottie has a disability affecting her back legs. She is able to walk normally and gets around perfectly well, but she cannot manage long distances. We are currently seeking veterinary advice as we suspect the issue may be related to her patellas (kneecaps). Her future family will need to be understanding of her limitations and willing to work with us and our vets to make sure she gets the right care and support.

Because of this, we are looking for a home in the Midlands, so that she can have continued access to our vets while we investigate and manage her condition.

❤️ Her personality

Lottie can be a little nervous when meeting new people and may need a bit of time to decide that you’re her new best friend! Once she knows you, her cheeky and playful side comes out.

She would suit a home with one or two resident dogs, provided they are suitable companions for her. As always, introductions would need to be done carefully and at Lottie’s pace.

Lottie currently lives with a cat and does bark at the cat. We feel that with time, patience and slow, sensible introductions, she may be able to live happily alongside a cat, but we would need her future family to understand that this cannot be guaranteed.

🏡 Home life

Lottie is house trained, although like many young dogs, she can still have the occasional accident.

She can be left for a few hours, but she does have a rather hilarious high-pitched bark when she’s left! 😂 We find it quite funny, but unfortunately Lottie doesn’t yet realise that the neighbours might not share our sense of humour! This is something her new family will need to continue working on with her.

She is still only a young girl and has plenty to learn, so we’re looking for someone who understands that bringing Lottie home will require time, patience, consistency and plenty of positive reinforcement.

🩷 Lottie’s perfect home

We’re looking for someone who:

🐾 Lives within the Midlands
🐾 Is willing to attend veterinary appointments and work with our vets regarding her back legs
🐾 Has the time and patience to help a young rescue dog continue building her confidence
🐾 Understands that her exercise will need to be tailored to her abilities
🐾 Can continue working on her barking and general training
🐾 Is happy to introduce her slowly and sensibly to new people, dogs and potentially cats
🐾 Ideally has one or two suitable resident dogs
🐾 Will give her all the love, patience and fun she deserves!

Lottie may have a few extra needs, but she has so much love and fun to give in return. 🩷

She is ready to find the people who will see past her little disability, give her the support she needs and let her enjoy life to the fullest.
