**Location:** Nottingham, UK Foster Home
🌸 About Maria
Maria is a gentle, affectionate young girl who has blossomed beautifully during her time in foster care. When she first arrived, she was shy and unsure of her new surroundings, preferring to stay under the stairs. With patience and love, she has come out of her shell and now enjoys being part of family life.
She adores her foster family’s two dogs and gets along with them wonderfully. Maria is submissive and calm around other dogs and loves to follow their lead. She has learned to trust people quickly and is now a sociable, affectionate companion who enjoys cuddles and attention.
🐶 In the Home
Maria lives happily alongside two resident dogs and loves to play with them. She’s polite around food and gently takes treats. She hasn’t shown any aggression and is comfortable around everyone in the home.
She’s currently fed twice a day and enjoys a mix of dry and wet food. Maria sleeps in her foster parents’ bedroom, snuggled up in a fleece blanket beside the bed.
🚶♀️ Out and About
Maria loves her walks and gets excited when she sees her lead. She walks nicely on the lead, though she can be a little wary of loud noises or busy areas — something that continues to improve each day. She’s sociable with other dogs when out and about and is happiest when she feels safe beside her humans.
She travels well in the car, lying calmly on the back seat, and would be a lovely companion for trips and adventures.
🧸 Personality & Play
Maria loves her toys and enjoys playtime with her doggy friends. She has a playful, gentle nature and a lovely sense of humour — she sometimes stops playing as if she’s been told off, then immediately looks for a belly rub!
🏡 Ideal Home
Maria would thrive in a calm, loving home with another friendly dog to keep her company, although she could be an only dog if not left alone for long periods. She would prefer a quiet household without very young children, simply because of her size and slightly nervous nature around loud noises.
She hasn’t met cats yet, so a cat-free home would be best.
