Duke

Meet Duke, who is very loyal to his foster mum, he is a challenge but hopefully someone will fall in love with him and can offer what he needs, which is boundaries and safety. 

Bite risk level 2, Needs an understanding owner to work with him more. 

LOCATION: CHESTERFIELD
• I am a small medium sized mixed breed male from Romania and I am approximately 18 months old
• I am very sweet, happy and affectionate and I love lots of cuddles
• I am nervous around people when I first meet them whilst out walking and with visitors to the house but my confidence is improving all the time
• I am friendly with other dogs when out walking
• I enjoy playing with toys with my foster mum but can be a bit grumpy with other dogs around toys and food
• I sit down calmly while my foster mum places my lead and harness on me
• I would love a calm home as an only dog but where someone is around a lot of the time and any time left alone would need to be built up gradually
• As I am only young I will need an active home where someone has the time to continue with my training and socialisation
• I am house trained, but may need reminding of this in a new home
• I will need firm boundaries and to learn a few manners but I am keen to please and will do anything for a tasty treat
• I am house trained and sleep well through the night until the morning
• I really enjoy my walks and walk well on my lead and harness with no pulling
• I travel well in the car wearing a harness clipped to a seatbelt
• I have not met any children but any resident/visiting children would need to be 16+
• I have not been around cats and am therefore not cat tested
• I am microchipped, vaccinated and spayed
• I have had a blood test for Brucella Canis at the APHA Lab in the UK which was negative.
