Adopt a One Paw – Kitzi

Kitzi-1
  • I am a 6 year old medium/large mixed breed from Romania.
  • I arrived to the UK very scared and unsure and it took me a while to come out of my shell. However, over time I have blossomed and I am now enjoying my life in foster care.
  • I am a calm and quiet dog but due to my past I will need someone who will give me plenty of space and time to adjust and settle.
  • I have bonded well with my foster mum but I am shy when meeting new people and I will need time to build trust, and I can sometimes be fear reactive. Patience and space is key to allow me to to blossom as I can get unsettled with change.
  • I love nothing more than going for a daily walk then relaxing for the day and having cuddles.
  • I am good when walking and do not pull on my lead.
  • I travel well in the car and is am able to jump in/out the car by myself
  • I can be shy when meeting new people and dogs when out walking, and I like to have space to be able to greet them on my terms.
  • I would be best suited living with another calm and confident dog to show me the ropes and to help me to settle. I am not interested in playing with other dogs but I'm happy to live with one if they are similar in temperament.
  • I show no signs of resource guarding and I am currently in foster with another dog.
  • I am able to be left alone for short periods of time and show no signs of separation anxiety.
  • I sleep well at night downstairs on my own bed
  • I am fully house trained
  • I am not cat or child tested however due to me needing a calm and quiet home it is recommended that I am not homed with children. I can be cat tested on request.
  • I am microchipped, vaccinated and neutered
  • I am currently in a foster home in Nottingham
