Adopt a One Paw – Oscar

Oscar3
  • I am a male Schnauzer cross from China and I am approximately 2 years old and weigh about 7 kgs.
  • I like meeting new people but am still a little nervous with strangers, but my confidence is growing every day.
  • I do like to follow my foster parents around the house as I prefer being with others rather than being alone.
  • I am looking for a home where someone is around most of the time, and can build up the length of time I am left on my own gradually.
  • I have been left for short periods of time but do cry a little bit and get very excited to see my foster parents on their return.
  • I get on well with other dogs and I just love to play with them. I am looking for a home with at least ONE OTHER PLAYFUL DOG, that I can run around with and who can help me learn the ropes and build my confidence.
  • I will play with the ball and soft toys and will share with other dogs.
  • I walk well on my lead both in the park and on the street. I will wait at the side of the road when asked before crossing but have not yet sat at the roadside but we are working on this.
  • I sleep in a bed in my foster-mum's room and am quiet all night and I will let you know if I need a wee.
  • I enjoy my food and have tried both wet and dry food but prefer wet. I also like the odd treat and am just learning to sit for them.
  • I am house trained, but could still have the odd accident in the house.
  • I have had no contact with cats yet so not sure if I like them.
  • Older sensible children only
  • I am currently in a foster home in Nottinghamshire.
