Adopt a One Paw – Henrietta

  • I am a female Pekingese cross from China and am around 5 years old
  • I am friendly and playful and I love lots of fuss and cuddles
  • I would prefer to live with another dog as I love to play and they offer reassurance when I’m on my own, however I could live as an only dog in the right circumstances.
  • I love to play with toys and am learning to share. I will occasionally try to guard a toy but starting to understand I shouldn’t do this
  • I like to chew on hands and fingers but don’t bite
  • I love to go outside and play in the grass
  • I enjoy a short walk and am getting used used to traffic, people and other dogs.
  • I’m not reactive but have occasionally given a small growl at larger dogs
  • I sleep in my crate at night.
  • I can be left for a few hours in my crate
  • My toilet training is improving. I am learning from my foster sister to go outside regularly.
  • I have a slight problem with my hip, but it doesnt hurt me or prevent me from being active.
I have had a vet check and there are no major concerns (further information can be provided)
  • I am quick to learn new things by watching my foster sister. I can now sit and give a ‘high five’ for a treat
  • I eat well and enjoy my food.
  • I am not cat tested
  • Older sensible children only
  • I am vaccinated, microchipped and neutered
  • I am currently in a foster home in Derbyshire
