Adopt a One Paw – Dixie

Dixie thumb
  • I am a female mixed breed from Romania and I am one year old.
  • I am super friendly and outgoing.  I love people and lots of fuss, cuddles and praise. I especially love curling up in your arms in the evening on the sofa
  • I am very playful, and love playing with my foster doggie friends.
  • I am looking for an active home with someone who has lots of time for me, can continue with my training and take me for lots of walks.
  • I MUST live with another active dog who will play with me and can help show me the ropes
  • My foster mum says I am very clever and quick to learn, and have already learned how to sit.
  • I currently live with children in my foster home and get on with them really well
  • I love my food, and would need to be fed seperately from resident dogs
  • I am fine having my harness put on and get all excited when going for a walk.  I walk well on my lead and I love to explore and enjoy all the new smells
  • As Im still only very young, I can chew things I shouldnt, and can be quite mischievous at times
  • I struggle when left on my own, and do cry and bark. I am currently left for 15-20 minutes at a time, and would need someone who could work with me to gradually build the length of time I can be left
  • I sleep in a crate at night, and can sometimes cry for a short while, but I am getting better and sometimes I dont cry at all
  • My housetraining is coming along well, although I do have the odd accident in the house
  • I am not cat tested
  • I am microchipped/vaccinated/neutered
  • I am currently in a foster home in Nottingham
