Adopt Me

Re-homing a One Paw

On this page you’ll find all of the One Paw dogs that we currently have wanting to be adopted into their forever home. If you’ve found your new best friend, make sure you go to the interest form to register your interest, if you’ve got any questions please do visit the contact us page and we’ll get in touch as soon as we’re able. Our dogs have, and are up to date with: vaccinations, microchips, flea treatment, wormers, neutering (where old enough), and all come with their pet passport. Unfortunately they cannot go to homes with dogs that have not been neutered and homes with children under 7.

"We couldn't be happier that we adopted Chance! His character and funny ways brighten every room he enters. He's fit into our family from day one! Thank you One Paw! - The Oakes family, Nottingham.

Nunu
Female
Older Dog

Nunu was rescued from the Chinese meat trade and is coming from China soon, she’s an older girl and needs a retirement home, somewhere nice and quiet with a family that understands she's not a puppy anymore!  She’s been in a family home and does well with other dogs and people. She's a real sweetie.
She will not be travelling until late January, but we can begin the homecheck process immediately for potential adopters.

Bear
Male
4 months old

This is Bear 🐻 He is around 4 months of age, and was saved from Romanian kill shelter.
Beautiful Bear is a lovely sweet pup with a big character, he just loves to play with other dogs and people!
He will be roughly medium size and can travel in January 2019,.
He must be castrated as part of the adoption contract, and the cost of this will be covered by One Paw.

Jacob
Male
4 months old

This is Jacob. Jacob was saved from a Romanian kill shelter, he is around 4 months of age.
He will need to be neutered when he is old enough, One Paw will cover this cost using our vets.

Chomper
Male
Small size

Chomper has been rescued from the meat trade in China. Sadly he had sustained an injury possibly from the slaughter house, so his eye needed to be taken out. (This is a older photo.)

He is small in size and needs a calm home preferably with another dog. He won’t be travelling until the end of January.

Please note that due to the costs of transport the adoption donation for China dogs is £400.

Benji
Male
4 months old

This is Benji. He was saved from a Romanian kill shelter, he is around 4 months of age. Little Benji does have some calcium issues which he has tablets for but these won’t be needed for life. He's had a bad start to life and as a result his legs are a little bowed, this is from the poor quality food he has had since birth. He will need to be neutered when he is old enough, One Paw will cover this cost using our vets.

Sonia
Female
Age Unknown

This lovely girl was very shy when she was saved from the kill shelter, but her foster mum in Romania has worked wonders with her! When we met her in the kill shelter she wasn’t able to be stroked or handled, she was so scared. She is now doing really well, but we feel she would best with an older dog in the home to show her the ropes. Please bare in mind Sonia needs a patient home as she will possibly be scared when she does arrive, the travel does sometimes set them back.

Stella
Female
8 months old

Stella is a German Shepherd currently in China. She was saved from the meat trade and she’s around 8 months of age. When Shaun met her she was in a kennel with lot of other dogs, at the safe shelter! She was hiding at the back and every time she tried to get food the other dogs would growl or snap at her, so after seeing this Shaun took her out and gave her a huge bowl of food all to her self and they had lots of cuddles! She’s good with dogs and people. We need a special home for her before Shaun adopts her! She will travel in January 2019.

Casper, Mary, Martha, Thomas and Sofia! (R-L)
4 months old

These are our One Paw pups! They are all around 4 months of age, we aren't sure of their paternal parentage but their Mum is Peanut who is also up for adoption! They are all looking for a adoptive home. Please note they are not neutered  but this will be done at our vets when old enough and the cost covered by One Paw.

Cookie
Female
3 years old

Hi, my names cookie I'm just over 3 years old and I'm looking for my forever home.
I love lots of cuddles and kisses as well as running around and playing with my toys especially lost socks.

I'd prefer a home where its just me and my person as I can be quite jealous of other animals however I do get on very well with other dogs and love to play with them.

That's a little about me for now, I'll post a little more about myself in a few days.

Awaiting my forever home,
Cookie x x x

Sadie
Female

This beautiful girl is coming back into rescue due to ill health of her owners.
She will come into foster care, but we would love a new adoptive home for her.

Here is some information from her mum:

Sadie is a very affectionate girl, she gets on great with other dogs and also children, she can be a little nervous of some adults, but she soon gets over this and it doesn’t seem to be any one type of person e.g one time it could be a male and the next time it could be a female, she will just hide for a little while and then she will be okay, she loves her walks and is very good on and off the lead, but obviously not off lead until she is confident with the person that is walking her, she just loves cuddles and fusses, her only strange habit is that she thinks all of her toys and blankets belong in the garden!

Mia
Female
6-8 years old

Small girl currently in foster care in Mansfield area.
She’s doing very well and seems to be enjoying her new life at home rather than in a kennels.
She’s approx 8 years old but we think she maybe a little younger than that.
If you are keen to adopt her, please do complete the interest form.

Genie
Female
4 years old

Annie is a small size girl with long legs! She’s a lovely girl saved from the same meat truck Anna was on, she’s shy with men but okay with dogs. Due to her background she can be grumpy sometimes with other dogs around food but this is to be expected.

She needs a patient home and possibly with another patient dog who can show her the way, she’s around 4 year approx. She’s travels in February.

Anna
Female
2 years old

Anna was rescued from a china meat trade truck, that was stopped by activists. Had she not, she would have ended up on someones dinner table.
She’s a lovely girl and has been in China a few months getting ready to fly, we have now been told she can possibly travel in February, with a flight volunteer.

She’s good with dogs but can be shy with men sometimes, this is expected and normal after what she has been through. She needs time and patience and potentially someone with another dog to show poor Anna the ropes.

Tara
8 months
Female

A lovely girl she’s only medium size, Lurcher size. She’s around 8 months of age, good with people and other dogs.
She’s a typically puppy bouncy, fun, does sometimes chew so will need lots of toys to keep her busy, house training she’s doing well, but does have the odd accident. Another dog in the home would be a help for her but homes without is no problem at all.

Looking for a adoptive home Sprinter 1kg boy around 8 months of age.
Will travel possibly end of March.

He was found in China at a breeders, all the ones that were healthy have been adopted, but the ones with disabilitys or problems didn’t get helped.
So here’s one we are helping, a little boy around 1kg.

We need to raise around £800 for him any help appreciated this goes toward the vet fees, boarding, prep and some of the travel.

If anyone can spare even just £1 to help us pay for his care it would be much appreciated.

Misha
Female
8 years old

Misha is a small, loving girl looking for a forever home.
She’s around 8/9 years of age, she’s good with dogs and people and needs a suitable home as she is slightly disabled.

She has a front leg that due to an old injury she does not use so unfortunately her leg will be being amputated before she travels.

Can possibly travel February 2019 if all goes well.
